The International Roman Catholic–Old Catholic Dialogue Commission (IRAD) met in Bonn on 23 and 24 June 2014. It was the fourth meeting of IRAD’s second round of dialogue. One of the key areas of discussion was the dialogue paper “Utrecht and Uppsala on the way to communion: Report from the official dialogue between the Old Catholic Churches of the Union of Utrecht and the Church of Sweden” published last year. Dialogue participant Professor Urs von Arx introduced the paper, which will now be further evaluated for the purposes of the Roman Catholic – Old Catholic dialogue. The commission also discussed explanatory texts on the subjects of the local and universal church and testimonies of faith. Its next meeting will take place in Paderborn in Advent of this year.
